Tidus is every part of his sunny name sake. He's bright, cheerful, and just out to have a good time. He's very sweet and will always lend a helping hand to those who need it, whether physically like helping out to be a guardian for his friend Yuna, or mentally, like cheering up the group's morale when they're faced with the worst. Though he's a bit childish--he is still an teenager after all--he is the hero archetype through and through. He's very loyal and protective of his friends and those he considers family. However, with all this light to him, Tidus is very, very reluctant to show how he really feels, when he's depressed--and it seems only when it is depression, not anger or any other emotion, he hides it and keep his feelings locked inside. The same is with the hatred he has for his father, he both loathes his father, yet wishes he could have meant more to him. Tidus was raised in the shadow of his famous father Ject--a star blitzball player. Because even his mother was enamoured with him, Tidus would grow to resent his spot-light stealing dad and consider him nothing more than a hassle. He was primarily raised however by Auron, his father's mysterious friend and as such has come to rely on him, showing sometimes a more childish side to him and Yuna alone. Tidus grew and eventually succeded in becoming the talk of the town as the star Blitzball player of the Zanarkand Abes--however, this all changes when his Zanarkand is attacked by Sin, and he finds himself in 'the future'. He strives and struggles to try and make his way through Spira, becoming Yuna's guardian after he lands on Besaid island after being lost from the Al bhed he ran into. Sometime along his travels however, he is revealed to not even be human at all, but a 'dream' of the Fayth--those passed away. His Zanarkand never existed and his father is Sin. However, there is no time for him to mope and he goes onto help with try and continue on the path to defeat Sin. Tidus while, bright and happy--has a tendency to hide when he's depressed. He thinks that he must show the world him being happy all the time, and as such, when it comes to issues with his father he just locks them deep inside. The Gods, saw the torment he was instilling on himself and decided to try and reform him. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
